Roadtrip Day 14 / Going home

This may be the shortest of our Roadtrip-Blogposts: we went home. That’s it, basically. But of course we wouldn’t be the Hagebrothers if we couldn’t manage to write 2 pages about something that can easily be said in 3 words.

As you may remember after reading yesterday’s blogpost we did stay at our grandcousin’s place for the night who’s one of the most caring and attentive people I know. Our plan for the day was to have breakfast together and then go to a town nearby to see a lift lock, actually it’s the “tallest” one in Canada. Then have lunch together at a vegan restaurant.

Well. It was our first night after two weeks we did sleep in not only a real bed but also at a place where we could fully relax and feel settled. So we slept a bit longer than expected (a bit = 2 hours) and then played a bit with our grandcousin’s two kids so we did only manage to have breakfast together (with wonderful cheese, two kinds of it which are special for Canada) and have some more nice talks. Then we already had to leave as our car needed to be back at the rental service by 3:30pm.

And that’s it – we gave back the car, got picked up by our aunt and drove back to Burlington where we’re sitting right now finishing our last blogposts, editing pictures and sorting our clothes, washing some of them and just get ready for our last days to come before we already have to fly back to Germany on Tuesday 🙁 Which is a bit sad but we still have some more things we’re doing so stay tuned for some more blogposts to come!
